About Brendan

Brendan Rook is a professional investigator whose career spans nearly four decades across national, state, and international jurisdictions.
He has operated within specialised courts, commissions, and task forces, investigating some of the world’s most serious crimes: child abuse, organised crime, corporate fraud, arson, drug trafficking, hate crimes, serial murders, and cold cases.
Internationally, he has served with the International Criminal Court (ICC), investigating genocide, war crimes, and crimes against humanity — including the complex web of financial crimes, arms trafficking, and companies operating in conflict zones.
Brendan’s work also includes investigations for the Australian Defence Force, locating unrecovered war casualties, and collaborating with international law enforcement and academic institutions.
In 2021, he co-led a Dutch investigative team alongside a former FBI agent to explore one of history’s most enduring mysteries — the betrayal of Anne Frank’s family. The findings were later documented in The Betrayal of Anne Frank by Rosemary Sullivan.
He holds a Master’s in International Criminal Justice from the University of Portsmouth (UK), specialising in accountability in the global arms trade.
